Discover the transformative power of Tibetan Yoga of movement and breath.
What is Yantra Yoga
This method is very useful for everyone, no matter if you are a spiritual person or not, young or old, flexible or less flexible.
Yantra Yoga, or Yoga of Movement, is one of the oldest yoga traditions in the world, and belongs to the Tibetan tradition. It is based on the text “The Union of the Sun and the Moon”, written in the 8th century by the master and translator Vairochana.
Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, one of the most important Dzogchen masters of the present time, received the teachings from his uncle, who was part of an unbroken lineage, and in the 1970s began to transmit them in Italy.
I started practicing Yantra Yoga in the 80’s with his direct disciples. The characteristic of this yoga is the combination of positions and movements with a fully conscious breathing that follows a rhythmic pattern. This allows us to coordinate and harmonize the body’s energy through the different types of breathing and breath holding, so that the mind can find its balance.
Through this practice we relax, coordinate and harmonize our energy, improve our health, gain calmness and presence, and experience in depth the true meaning of being naturally relaxed.
I was authorized to teach this profound method by Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu himself in 2010 and since then I have taught classes and workshops in Italy, Tenerife and online.

Frequent questions
What is the difference between Yantra Yoga and other types of yoga?
In Yantra Yoga, the focus is not on maintaining body postures for a long time, but there are a sequence of movements that are performed by inhaling, exhaling and holding the air in a certain way and with a specific rhythm.
The achievement in Yantra Yoga is not so much to maintain a perfect position with the physical body, but to deeply understand the relationship between the posture of the body and the breath, and ultimately, how it affects the state of the mind.
Can anyone practice Yantra yoga?
Yes, Yantra Yoga is suitable for everyone. If there is any physical limitation, it is possible to adapt the movements and postures, even while sitting in a chair.
Are there different levels depending on whether I am a beginner or more advanced?
Yes, there are people who have already learned several Yantra Yoga sequences and people who are starting from scratch.
